At HKM Direct Market Communications, we are aware that everyone is troubled regarding the situation with coronavirus (COVID-19). As the circumstances and situation continues to develop, our entire team is ready and standing by to support you. Nothing is more important to us than the health and safety to our team and our clients. We have taken many steps to minimize health risks to our team and any visiting clients. Our account service managers and account executives will be working remote as the situation warrants, but your connection to them should not be interrupted. They will continue to be your point of contact, albeit virtually in some cases. We have updated pandemic policy and pandemic continuity plan.
These times can be challenging and here are some of the steps that we have taken:
We are following the CDC’s guidelines when it comes to employee’s risk of exposure to the virus.
Our team members who need to be remote will have the ability to do so with secure access and to utilize video/audio conferencing for meetings.
We have enhanced our cleaning protocols including installation of additional hand sanitizer stations throughout our facilities.
We have had team meetings and distributed information from CDC regarding the practice of good hygiene to help prevent any spread of the virus including (hand washing tips, use of hand sanitizers, covering coughs & sneezes, disinfect their personal surfaces regularly, social distancing and forgoing handshakes etc.).
We have limited all international and non-essential business travel for our team.
We are asking them to stay home if they are sick and to avoid large gatherings.
We are also working with team members to implement self-quarantine procedures as indicatedLastly, we are also monitoring the USPS and continuing to get mailing programs in the mail as scheduled. At this point, we do not foresee any disruptions in the services we provide.
As of 3/17/2020, below is the most up to date statement issued from the USPS: (https://about.usps.com/newsroom/service-alerts/ )The Postal Service is continuing to monitor the circumstances around the novel coronavirus, also known as “COVID-19.” We are sharing the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) guidance regarding the COVID-19 epidemic to our employees via stand-up talks, employee news articles, messages on bulletin boards, and internal messaging inside USPS workplaces.Currently, we are not experiencing operational impacts as a result of the COVID-19 epidemic and we are using this time to review/revise our contingency plans should they be needed. Customers can view our most recent media statement and find a link to the CDC guidance at https://about.usps.com/newsroom/statements/usps-statement-on-coronavirus.htm.Regarding the importation of packages, the CDC states there is likely very low risk that the COVID-19 can be spread from products or packaging shipped from China, because of poor survivability of coronaviruses on surfaces. Also, according to the CDC, there currently is no evidence to support transmission of coronavirus associated with imported goods; and there have been no reported cases of COVID-19 in the United States associated with imported goods.
Our goal is to continue to function, safely and effectively and with an abundance of caution. Thank you for being an extremely valued client of HKM. We know this is a very uncertain period and that this pandemic will affect businesses in many ways, and we will continue to keep you posted throughout these changing times. Please stay safe, and take care.
